This is a personal website.
- For information relating to consulting in Australia or other countries, please contact me.
- For information about software for use in the world of groundwater, surface water and groundwater - surface water interaction, please visit GW-SW.
- For reports on AQUIFEM-1, AQUIFEM-N, AQUIFEM-P, CERT, FLOWTHRU, PUWBS etc., please visit www.gw-sw.com/resources/.
I use this site to provide access to information that might otherwise
be less accessible. The information relates mainly to my research activities at MIT, UWA and CSIRO,
and/or with former colleagues after my departure from CSIRO in mid-1997. After eight years in China, I am now based near Sydney in Australia.
- My
research interests include surface water - groundwater interaction, the
response of aquifers to periodic forcing, model calibration and
prediction uncertainty, water resource recovery and more.
- My
publications include journal and other refereed papers, comments and replies,
conference papers and reports.
- FLOWTHRU is
interactive software that illustrates steady groundwater flow patterns in a
2D vertical section through shallow water bodies. A new interface to the original FLOWTHRU "computational engine" was prepared in June 2018, and a revised User's Manual dated August 1994 is now available.
- A number of
animations are provided to illustrate the impact of seasonal fluctuations of
recharge, rainfall and evapotranspiration on groundwater flow patterns in a
2D vertical section through shallow surface water bodies.
