This report presents progress during the three months to 31 May 1995 by the CSIRO team which is collaborating in a study with RUST PPK for BHPAC.

This report has several parts. This summary provides a fairly concise statement of "where we are" and "where we'd like to go". The summary is supported by six attachments: (i) a summary of field investigations and progress reports to date, (ii) a review of geotechnical progress on low wall stability, (iii) a brief proposal for photogrammetric work to support the geotechnical work, (iv) an extensive (but still preliminary) review of processes related to water and solute balance modelling, (v) a summary of groundwater modelling to date, and (vi) a progress report on water quality in final voids summarising recent leaching experiments.
